Can brass metal trim be painted on shower doors?
My shower doors are high gloss brass. I am re-demodeling my bath in bronze. I would like to be able to re-finish the metal trim, as long as it won’t peel, to look like bronze. New shower doors in bronze are over $500.00. Not in my budget. I would be happy with a finish that was just a very dark brown.
It is possible, but it is also extremely diffucult for the unskilled. They would have to be sanded, inorder to have any chance of not peeling. Peeling is always a long term problem. The coating is put on using an electro-plate process. I’d suggest leaving it along until you conplete your project. Good Luck
