Feng Shui Bookshelves

Feng Shui Bookshelves
i need some feng shui suggestions;?

my boyfriend and i live in an average-sized basement apartment. It is very dark down here. We have little light that comes in from outside. It is depressing and i want to lighten up the living room… any suggestions? we have 4-5 guitars, two bookshelves, a dinner table, 2 couches. It’s busy, but we do need it all….

Great question. How is your health? Any issues with depression?

First off, walking down into a space can lower your chi and has the potential to increase depression. What are the colors on the walls and how does it make you feel?

I would start from the ground up. What is on the floor? Is it carpeted or could you add rugs that you enjoy and raises your energy? If it is constantly dark, may want to consider adding additional lighting such as floor and table lamps. Keep in mind that you don’t want the lights to be piercing, meaning to sharp for your eyes to see. Sometimes I have my clients place their lights on timers so the space welcomes them home.

Another option is to consider adding plants and life energy such as flowers, water elements, etc.

When you stand at the entrance to your space, are you able to walk in or do you have to walk around objects to actually get into the space?
