A Feng Shui Question?
My Kua number is 8. I am thinking of purchasing a condo in Edgewater that is facing slightly W (W/NW). This means that the back of the home is facing E (E/SE) which is the worst direction for kua number 8.
Some schools of Feng Shui state that it only matters which way the front door faces while other schools of thought state that it depends on which side of the home is most energized. In this case, the S/SE direction faces the Hudson River, a large body of water which would obviously bring the most energy toward the property.
Can anyone clear up the home direction thing?
in case of a condominium, the main door you need to consider is the one that everybody uses – the one at the ground floor/ the main front door, which usually leads to the main road outside. this is the door to consider, not your unit’s door. the reason behind this is that a condo is just like a large house with all of the units inside as the rooms inside a house. so the main door is the one that everyone uses, not that of your unit.
the next thing is that water is one of the elements in fengshui, so in flying stars method, this should be taken into consideration… this means that the S/SE can be your facing with regards to flying stars, as water is more powerful than the facing of the main door. this situation can be confusing, as the 2 facings can have diifferent outcomes.
third, if you are kua 8, then north, south, east and southeast are all bad for you… there is no buts about this. why? because most practitioners use the 8 mansions (kua), only to enhance the flying stars method. this means, that if your condominium (not unit) faces your favorable direction, then living in your unit will be a lot easier. it is like hitting 2 birds with 1 stone – which is more powerful in fengshui.
so, i would not recommend for you to buy this unit, bec:
1. the condo faces not your favorable direction
2. the river can cause much complications in your life
