According to Feng Shui, would it be better to block a window, or have your back to the doorway?
I’m trying to figure out a way to rearrange my furniture in my apartment. We have a combination living room/dining room separated only by the front door. We have a sofa and a love seat. The sofa is on the wall with the front door and the love seat has it’s back to the area called the dining room, facing the opposite wall which has a large sliding glass door that takes up most of the wall. I moved the love seat on the wall with the window and it really opens the room but is it ok to have a couch in front of a window like that?
i think you misunderstood what fengshui is really about. i know that most books claim that it is about the arrangement of furnitures. but it is really more that just that. my point is, if you just arrange your furnitures to have good fengshui in your room or house, that alone will not achieve a good fengshui. why? because fengshui is knowing where the good energy (or bad energy) in your home, and know how to use it to your advantage. this is what fengshui is about. so moving your furnitures will not have any difference on your life.
to make it clear, if you move your furnitures based on the windows/ doors – you will just be paranoid about these things. but if you consult a fengshui practitioner or use some fengshui method to locate the good energy in your home, then you can put the bed or the sofa there. and it won’t matter how you arrange them. because you will be using the good energy which is present in that area – so good things will happen in your life.
the good energy refers to an energy that cannot be sensed by humans even if you are a psychic. it is not a vibe. it can only be located by some fengshui methods.
