Bedroom Decoration Ideas?
Hello, I’m trying to figure out some new ideas for my bedroom. It’s kinda making me feel drab. Here’s some things I do like for sure and am thinking about (feel free to build off of them or any ideas):
- I like purple and black and dark brown. I have dark brown furniture (large ikea bookcase with desk – expedit series)
- I love elephants and believe they offer good luck, calm energy, etc.
- I’d like things very simple-ish. Very feng-shui. Very spiritual. Asian inspired.
- I want simple but powerful pieces of decoration.
- I want to feel relaxed in my room.
- My room isn’t very big. But I have a queen sized bed and a large desk.
Any help is great. I need some ideas! Thanks!
I would paint the walls purple. It’ll give that calming effect.
Also go with a thick comforter and lots of matching pillows. I suggest dark brown, and you could use tan and purple pillows.
Then I would do some sheer drapery on the window (if you have any)- maybe dark brown and tan.
If you like the thought of drapery you could even do some on the wall behind the head of your bed.
Elephants would add to the “royal” look of this room.
Main thing is have a few good pieces and don’t overcrowd. (Ex: one big elephant at the foot of the bed vs. 100 small elephants all around the room)
