Shui Double
Feng Shui Help?

My double bed is positioned directly opposite the bedroom door. There is no other way it can go, but I believe this is not good Feng Shui!? How can I alleviate this with the addition of mirrors, etc. Any other suggestions? Much appreciated.

You are correct in your assessment that having your bed opposite your bedroom door is not consider good Feng Shui. However, do you know the reason behind this point? The reason you do not want your bed directly opposite or in the path of the doorway is because chi, or energy, enters through the doorway. By having your bed in line with the door means that the chi will be constantly hitting the bed and you. This does not allow for a peacefull night’s rest.

The solution is actually quite simple, just close the door when you are sleeping. When the door is closed, chi is then slowed down and would not be rushing through the doorway. You definately do not want a mirror in the bedroom. Mirror reflect and deflect energy. When you are not sleeping, then leave the door open and you will be fine.

Remember, Feng Shui is always about chi, or energy. It is how these energy interacts with us that determines if you have good or bad Feng Shui. If the energy is compatiable and harmonious with our bodies, we will do well. If we are not compatible with our surrounding energies, then that is were problem arises. So relax and sweet dreams.
